Search is on for missing 8 year old
An 8 year old, California girl has been missing since last Friday — last seen at the next door neighbors, playing with the neighbor children.
A child as young as 8 who goes missing is usually the result of a pedophile abduction. Let’s hope this little girl is found alive.
TRACY, Calif. — Police are looking for a missing 8-year-old girl in the largest missing person search Tracy has seen in at least a decade.
The FBI has also been involved in the search which started at 8:15 p.m. Friday night, four hours after the little girl was last seen in the mobile home park where she lives.
Sandra Cantu, a second grader from Jacobsen Elementary, was last seen around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon after leaving her neighbor’s house in the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park.

I strongly believe in the power of pairs or groups. Children who play alone on the street or in parks are just targets. It so important that we teach them HOW to stay safe. It IS our responsibility. These child predators are very good at what they do…who do you think they spend their free time with? You can’t watch every one of them but you can watch you kids. Having a fence or making the kids play in the backyard gave me peace of mind. I try to know where they are, what they are up to & always keep talking to them. I really don’t care if they kill or exile these freaks but they MUST come 2nd to the safety & well-being of an innocent child who never asked to be damaged. I played alone a lot as a kid traveling on the road & had little supervision from about the age of 10 on because I was pretty responsible. I really could of got into a lot of trouble but frankly, I was scared & knew I was naive. And from being on the road I also knew, a little too well, the freaky people out there even at that age (my dad was once offered a truck for me at age 3, the guy was dead serious). Still I had plenty of close calls & some over-friendly relatives/friends but I knew if I told my Mom the truth, she would believe me, no matter what. I also knew where I shouldn’t be, as a girl, especially alone. I had friends over the years who went with people they didn’t know, got too drunk to know what they were doing or just let complete strangers in their home/car. I always tried to stay in groups & make smart decisions which usually meant not following the pack. Common sense, I believe, can be taught. Start today & don’t let your kids be just another statistic. God bless.
