A father was arrested after his son managed to drive his battery powered truck onto a busy highway.
Duane Ricketts, 33, was arrested after authorities said his three-year-old son was found in the middle of busy East National Road.
Ricketts told Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies that he had been at home working on his resume when he lost sight of his child for just five minutes.
The boy ended up in the middle of a busy four-lane highway in his motorized battery-operated toy truck. Witnesses said he was puttering down the middle of the busy road at five miles an hour, going the wrong way.
“It is a very busy traffic area with Walmart and a fire station close by. A very heavily traveled area,” said Sheriff Gene Kelly.
