Uncle says he warned family about guns
The parents of a 2-year-old who shot and killed himself with a gun in the family’s home have been arrested. Good!
Wyatt’s parents, Becky and Jason Matteau, were taken into police custody Wednesday.
“I talked to them about the guns numerous times,” said Wayne West, Rebecca’s uncle.
West said he also called the Department of Children and Families last week after he learned that Wyatt’s 4-month-old sister, Sarah, was in a running car while the mother stopped in for a visit.
