Teen shoots baby with BB gun
An Alabama teenager shot an infant in the head with a BB gun, thinking that it wasn’t loaded. Surprisingly, the teenager is a girl, proving that not only teen boys do stupid stuff.
Police said the 11-month-old was taken to the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital and treated for what seemed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The baby’s godmother, Shirley Ann Coleman of Prichard, was caring for her. Police said another teen was holding the baby when Coleman’s 14-year-old daughter fired the BB gun at the baby from about four feet away.
Police said the 14-year-old said she didn’t think the gun was loaded because she had fired it earlier and “it sounded like only air came out.”
