Police need public’s help to find missing girl
Seattle police are hoping that someone out there can come forward to help their search for a missing 7-year-old girl.
The girl, Kiana Reece Raiford, was with four other children and her 16-year-old uncle, planning to ride a bus about 11 a.m. to the skate park at Renton’s Liberty Park, family and police said.
But it’s not clear whether the girl or her uncle, Warren Lott, ever made it to the park in the 1100 block of Bronson Way North.
Seattle police began their investigation after being called about 11 a.m. Sunday and are “actively looking for them,” spokesman Jeff Kappel said. An Amber Alert — a notification to locate missing children — had not been dispatched Sunday night because the case did not fit the program’s strict criteria, he said.
