Baltimore police recover toddler’s body from river
Police in Baltimore, Maryland have found the body of a 3-year-old who they think was thrown over a bridge by his father.
Maryland Transportation Authority Police said detectives “responded to the scene as part of their ongoing homicide investigation” into the death of Turner Jordan Nelson. The body had not been identified, police said.
The body was spotted in the Patapsco River Saturday by someone on a personal watercraft, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Investigators said they suspect Stephen T. Nelson, 37, threw the boy from the Key Bridge before attempting to kill himself by drinking cleaning fluids Feb. 3.
