Police hunt for mother and daughter
An Amber Alert has been issued for an Everett, Massachusetts woman and her baby girl, hours after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute.
[Suellen] Souza and Elton Fonseca, 25, were arguing in a gray BMW outside 34 Marie Ave., said Lieutenant John Cristiano of the Everett Police Department.
Neighbors heard Souza screaming for help and called police at 3:45 a.m., Cristiano said. But when officers arrived, the car, driven by Fonseca, was gone.
State police received a 911 call an hour later from a woman they believed was Souza, Cristiano said. They tried to pull the car over on Newton Street in Everett, but the car sped off.
Everett police have responded to domestic situations involving Souza and Fonseca in the past, Cristiano said. Souza had received a restraining order against Fonseca which expired on June 2.
