Motive sought in slayings of Oklahoma girls

Police have a suspect in the case of two young girls found murdered in a ditch in Oklahoma over the weekend, but they don’t have a motive. Too bad “being a sick asshole” isn’t a motive.

The pair, who were sleeping over at Taylor’s house, decided to take a walk down the desolate road Sunday afternoon, something they were used to doing in their rural community.

Taylor’s grandfather, Peter Placker, found the children after he became worried when his wife tried calling a cellular phone the girls had with them and got no answer.

“I can’t describe coming up on it,” Peter Placker said, sobbing uncontrollably, as he tried to remember walking up on the scene, only about one-quarter mile from his house. “I done it once and I can’t do it again.”

The girls were found clothed in T-shirts and shorts with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Oklahoman.

My wife and I pray for the young girls and their families and communities. I was born and raised in southern Kansas, (Arkansas City) and have several family members from Oklahoma. ( I know how strong and kind Oklahomans are!)

I also hope the police review troubled teens in the area as well. Nothing personal, but living here in Colorado has taught me the hard way what a couple of tormented teens can do.

I agree with Stephen after hearing about this and the way it was commited it sounds like maybe the girls ran into friends or kids that was playing in the woods with guns and the perps wanted to play a joke on the girls when something went wrong they got scared and didn’t want to get in trouble so they shot the innocent girls. Whom ever they are I hope they can’t sleep at night and can’t live with themselves… God wil judge them one day….

I live about 2 miles from where the 2 young girls were murdered. I can’t explain how grateful our community is to people across the country. Many people here are guilty of putting our guard down. We are just naturally trusting people. I never hesitated to leave my car or house unlocked or to even let my own children play outside. This horrific tragedy has taught many us to appreciate life and every second you are granted. I live on a city block that the sound of children playing and laughing is always in the air. I can not explain the dead silence I hear when I go out of my house. Even in mid-day. I am uncertain (as is everyone else) if this was an act committed simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time or if there was a motive. For whatever reason, whoever committed this crime will have to pay for their crime. It may not be today or even tomorrow, but there will be a judgement day and I hope this sick person rots in hell.

I can only pray for the children, their families and the community for the tragic loss. I pray they bring these bastards to justice. Something tells me the police know more than what is being relayed to the public and media. I would be willing to bet this crime involves 2 males between the ages of 16 and 25 who are local. Chances are they have been labeled as “troubled” in the past either by the school they attended or by their own peers.
