1 in 3 Arizona children have immigrant parents
A new report claims that 1 in 3 children in Arizona have at least one immigrant parent, up from 1 in 4 a decade ago. Gee, we can’t imagine that a certain Arizona Senator running for President will have this little statistic thrown at him in a debate question about illegal immigration…
The report is based on 2006 census data.
These children, whom the report dubbed “Gen G,” for Generation Global, pose both opportunities and challenges in the global economy.
“They really bring a lot of assets,” Welch said. “For one, they already speak two languages.”
They also pose significant challenges.
