Naked toddler’s dad up on charges

The father of a toddler that was found naked wandering along a busy street has been charged with child neglect and — quelle surprise! — drug possession. What makes this story especially notable is that it’s the SECOND TIME IT’S HAPPENED THIS WEEK.

Glen DeCocker, 26, of South Bend was booked Thursday on a felony count of child neglect and two misdemeanors, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, said St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Banicki. He was released Saturday on $1,000 bond.

An employee at a Speedway gas station and several customers told police they saw DeCocker’s naked 2-year-old son walking near the station Thursday night along a busy section of Indiana 933.

Officers had responded to a similar call at the same location involving the same boy on Tuesday.

    Ok, am I missing something/ Where the hell is the mother while all of this is going on? Second, what the hell is wrong with her to let this man, father or not, watch the child a second? I mean really people, let’s get a clue? I also think that his bond should have been set higher sine this is the second time in less then a week that this happened. What’s it goign to take, the child getting killed before this asshole get’s what’s coming to him?
