Ugandan children possessed by demons

There are many issues at play in this situation. Recently, the LRA has been responsible for many horrible atrocities in Uganda, including forcing many young children to kill their own brothers and sisters — forcing them to rape each other, etc. At the very least, it seems as though there is probably more than just a few too many cupcakes that could be causing these children to act up in school.

The leader of the LRA is Joseph Kony, who practices witch craft regularly. In fact, most of the LRA camps look more like temples than army bases. Joseph claims to be able to summon spirits which give him advice on the government’s military position, etc. Until fairly recently, Joseph was able to successfully evade the military many times — even when he was completely surrounded by the government’s forces and when there should have been no possible way to escape.

Whether or not these particular children were possessed I do not know, but there is so much more going on in that country than what meets the eye. We should be careful in drawing conclusions too quickly.
