28 inch tall woman gives birth to 18 inch baby
Stacey Herald, a woman from northern Kentucky, gave birth to a baby girl 18 inches long — not exactly astonishing until you realize that Herald is only 28 inches tall herself.
“I’m 28 1/2 inches, head to heel,” said Herald, who was born with osteogenesis imperfecta.
Herald’s 16-month-old daughter, Katira, also suffers from the genetic disorder that causes bones to break easily, but her youngest daughter, Makaia, is expected to grow to average height.
“’Yesterday I was five weeks old, (and) I’m already over half as big as my mommy,’” said Herald, changing her infant daughter’s diaper.
Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records are investigating Herald’s claim as she savors the joys of motherhood with her husband, Wil Herald, who is studying to become a minister.

I guess we’re all entitled to the miracle of childbirth, some just more miraculous than others

I think this is wounderful and wish her the best. If she can get some media darling stuff out of it so much the better. I have several questions about her husband but they are all unfair. As some times people fall In Love and make the best of thing no matter what. If this is her youngest daughter then this is not the first time she has given birth. Again congrads to her, and may she have a happy life.

Like Ronald Young, I have questions about the husband. Perhaps not unfair, but rather legitimate. I like to believe in love, but worry if some man in such a situation isn’t in love so much as having a touch of pedophilia. As a minister, it will be a tremendous boon for him to be able to collect income from various sources or to play on the heartstrings of his congregations to support him.
Hopefully he is who he seems to be and will do right by his wife and family.

I know this family and they are truly trying to get a quick buck off of there situation. They neglect to tell anyone that they use the system to pay for all there bills, but have clothing and electronics(newest i-pods,laptops,cell phones) that a working person works years to afford. No I am not a bitter person and I believe that if you have more than one child than you better have a good way to personally pay for them.
These people are selfish for putting another child at risk for this horrible disorder and they should be ashamed!!
