What kind of hillbilly drinks and drives a FLOAT?

MARKSVILLE, La. — A driver towing a float in a Carnival parade ran over his 16-year-old brother, killing him, state police said.

Clay Michael Sayer was standing between Kain N. Sayer’s pickup truck and the float behind it, talking to riders on the float during a brief stop around 5 p.m. Saturday, Trooper Scott Moreau said. The teen was pinned by the float when the truck started moving again, Moreau said.

Kain Sayer, 21, was booked with vehicular homicide, drunken driving and careless driving, state police said.

Just because they lived in the middle of Louisiana doesn’t make someone a hillbilly. Both those boys were were as sweet as could be and brought up as polite young men. That boy now has to live with the fact that he caused his brother’s death and he doesn’t need people calling him names and making judgments when I’m sure he’s given himself bucket loads of guilt he’ll carry with him the rest of his life.

Read the following article from CNN News involving a death due to a carnival float–Because another accident occurred involving a Carnival Float does that make one a Hillbilly-

Apparently the original article involving the Sayer brothers in Marksville, LA was written by an insensitive and un-educated reporter with CNN who doesn’t value human life or the tragedy a family might experience such as this. Drinking at Mardi Gras is a tradition that doesn’t always produce the festive results we imagine. Shame on you CNN for dismissing a tragedy such as this as a Hillbilly incident.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) – The son of a Mississippi political leader was killed by a float in one of the city’s Mardi Gras parades.

Joseph P. “Jody” Compretta Jr., 39, was pronounced dead at the scene after being run over during the Krewe of Endymion parade on Saturday, police said.

Compretta had been riding on the second section of the three-part Endymion captain’s float, Captain Eddy’s S.S. Endymion. Police said witnesses told investigators that riders had to disembark from the rear float sections when it approached the Superdome near the end of the parade route. As Compretta got off, the float lurched forward and the third section ran over him, police said.

That is my family you are talking about. You are a very insensitive reporter. That whole family is a very well mannered, respectful with great family values. Something you do not have. It was an accident. Had nothing to do with drinking or wreckless driving. God be with them.

I dated Clay for 9 months….We had plans to go to the movies that night….Maybe SOMEONE should think about this before writing a story as mean as this one….When RUDE reporters write storys like this..it really just makes the whole situation harder. Obviously, you dont have any feelings.

To whomever this may concern, I am writing on behalf of this article which is posted on a website named “imperfect Parent.” You guys are merely the epithomy of white trash. I believe all of you write things like hillbilly and other stupid things to other people hoping that your article will be read. Well, I hope you are happy because nearly all of the United States has read or heard about this accident. It’s kind of flattering to know that so many people have nothing better to worry about besides this. This is going on four weeks now, and still I read about this. You guys should have gone to college for something you were good at, because you will amount to nothing as long as you report stupid, lacking normal intelligence, misleading reports.

A hillbilly lives in the mountainous parts of the southern United States. I don’t ever recall seeing mountains in Moncla. I would like the reporter to go somewhere like that and try to insult these people. I bet you we’d never see him again, and if we did, he/she would be quite a changed person.
Anyway, Kain was a good person and this was an accident. He didn’t know his brother was there. It could have happened to anyone, even someone as smart as the person who called Kain a hillbilly.
Shame on you. Get your facts straight before you decide to insult people.
