“Baby Grace” beaten to death for inability to understand

Read Update

Little Riley was beaten over a 6 hour period, because at age 2, she wasn’t comprehending how to consistantly answer to “Yes, sir” and say “please” and “thank you”, so her step-father and mother beat her continually, threw her head against the tile floor and held her head under water in order for her to comply to the abusers unrealistic demands.

Poor Riley had no chance. Her “mother” and step-father apparently got off on torturing and seeing a baby suffer.

Zeigler wanted his wife to spank Riley with a belt when she failed to say things like “please” and “yes sir” or “no sir,” Stickler said Wednesday. Zeigler didn’t believe Trenor was doing it, however, because the 2-year-old’s behavior wasn’t changing.

The fatal beating happened after Zeigler stayed home from work to make sure his wife was following his discipline plan, Stickler said.

In her statement to Galveston authorities, Trenor said the girl was beaten with leather belts, had her head held underwater in a bathtub and then was thrown across a room, her head slamming into a tile floor.

This couple should get the death penalty, I have a 2 year old and this story made me absolutely sick to my stomach, the baby is in heaven now away from these monsters, and God will care for her now.. full punishment of the law should be carried out on these two monsters

I think these two should receive the same treatment they gave to this little girl, except instead of the one day they get it every day till they die.
How can they do this to a little angel? Two years old!!!! How can they justify doing this and not take the blame. Let’s play the “point the finger” game. Then to have bail available for them? What kind of justice system is this?
To be honest I hope they get out and face street justice, they deserve no sympathy.

absolutely, I try not to read these blogs on these cases in the media cause they just make me too sick and I cry reading them for these poor innocent babies, who want love from a mother, only to be tortured and beaten by a an online insane stepfather or both, truly sickening, if they don’t want their children give them away to someone who does, I can only hope God didn’t let her suffer long and has a plan for both of them someday

I totally agree with all of you. I have small children and it physically makes me ill when I read the articles on this beautiful baby girl. The mother is just as guilty as this dirt bag stepfather. I can’t understand how any human being could possibly do harm to children. What this poor baby must have went through for those hours. They both should be taken out the same way they murdered this child. I don’t have much faith in our criminal system when it comes to these types of crimes but hopefully someone will get to both of them in Prison before we waste out tax money on a trial.

I think they should be punished the same way they punished that beautiful little girl. It makes me sick to think about what that precious child went thru. They truly deserve the death penalty. Even the death penalty is not severe enough for the two of them. Maybe a better punishment is total isolation for the rest of their lives, after all, they are young.

I feel that these two, I’m sorry let me rephrase that. I hope these two get raped on a day to day basis in jail, I hope they get beatin on top of that. I hope that thier days left here on earth are an absoulte LIVING HELL!!! I hope that there is someone in prison for the both of them that was disturbed by what they did to poor precious baby and tourtures them every minute of the day and when I mean torture I mean some sick shit. I could NEVER do or allow for anyone to do some crap like that to my children. It just breaks my heart. I wish I could of been there when this was going on so I could of saved that child. I live about an hour away from these sick fucks. It just saddens me so bad that this was going on and no one could stop it. I hope the two of them rot in HELL!!!Baby Riley Rest in Peace honey. God will take care of you.

Oh and the bad part about this is you hardly EVER see justice served on cases like these. So to the judge that gets this case I pray that he/she does the right thing. Tourture to me is the best punishment. Death is too quick and less painful, like in the message before mine, they are young so they have a long life ahead of them to feel pain and be hurt.

These two pieces of garbage should FRY for this. How incredibly STUPID the step-dad (and the mom for that matter) are! It’s bad enough that they reproduced in the first place, let’s make sure they don’t do it again. These two morons can’t get to hell fast enough IMO.

I’m glad only that it happened in Texas, where there is a better chance they will receive the death penalty, although there is much more of a chance the man will be put to death than the woman (stats support my point). The mother here is just as much to blame as the step father, whether she did the beating or not, she permitted it. For those who oppose the death penalty by saying it is not effective in detering crime I say, so what! Riley deserves justice. She deserves a “reckoning”, and I believe it is coming for these two in the Texas judicial system. The bad thing is that if they do get the death penalty it won’t take place for many years, long after the public has forgotten the story of this poor little girl…..and I think…for lack of better words….that sucks!

give me a break Scott…get off your “holier than thou” stool Buddy. People here are just expressing their outrage. The real problem is people like you….you must be a follower of Susan Sarandon, who feels no-one should receive the death penalty, because it’s “inhumane”. Well, I say it’s time to stop putting the emphasis on the criminal’s rights and start standing up for the rights of the innocent victim, who isn’t here anymore to have some fluttery hearted liberal cry over their sad upbringing, or say it “wasn’t their fault because they were abused”. People should be held personally responsible for their actions of today, regardless of their past. I say bring back public hangings in the town square. Once these two’s first round of appeals is exhausted, if DNA and other evidence is overwhelming, they should be hung. I’ll pull the lever. No more of this 15 to 20 years of appeal after appeal.

Let these 2 animals be beaten multiple times each and every day of their lives to within inches of their lives while they scream: “Please, Thank you and Yes Sir.” God bless that poor innocent baby who is safe in heaven now.

I think the parents of this poor baby ought to be:
    1) Shot (but in the knee caps, so they don’t die just yet)
    2) Buried
    3) Resurrected
    4) Shot again (this time in the hands and feet)
    5) buried again
    6) Resurrected again
    7) Beat with an iron rod
    8) Peed and pooped on
    9) Scalped
    10) Forced to have open heart surgery without any anesthesia
    11) And buried AGAIN!

Anybody want to add to my list, feel free!

I feel terrible for what happened to that little girl. I do believe in God, but what I will NEVER EVER understand is WHY on EARTH does God let monsters do this to innocent children?? There is no answer for this, and I guess I’ll never know why he allows such unimaginable things to happen to such innocent babies. It’s horribly frustrating. And when people say “God works in mysterious ways” it just isn’t good enough. Or “Things happen for a reason.” I am so MAD I COULD SCREAM!!!!!!!

What has happened to poor little Riley is horrible. I am sad and sickened by this and I just don’t get how anyone could hurt a child who has only trust and love and innocence to offer. The thought that physical punishment would be appropriate in any circumstance, let alone for forgetting politeness, is completely beyond my comprehension (I have a 3 yr old of my own).

However, let’s not lose sight of the fact that this goes on daily, internationally. Check out parentsbehavingbadly.com and don’t forget Madeline McCann remains missing, and even closer to my home Tamra Keepness has been missing since the day my son was born. Tragic. Disturbing and yet, this continues to happen.

Texas has the death penalty. Yet this still happens in Texas. Canada doesn’t have the death penalty, this happen in Canada. England, no death penalty, this still happens. Does the level of potential punishment act as a deterrent? Doesn’t seem like it. Should sweet little Riley’s parents die because they killed her or should they suffer in system until they die? I’m not sure, but what I am sure of is that what they’ve done is unforgivable.

wtf is wrong with people???? this makes me sick . why do these stupid women get pregnant and then expect another man to raise it. look at all the stories. it is usually some boyfriend not the daddy. stupid women. ignorant men. what is happening to our society that you hear more and more of boyfriends that kill the children while the dumbass women stand by with their thumbs up their butts.

there are too many girls getting pregnant and the dads leave and then they hook up with slacker who cant work and gets his thrills beating the children.

this problem knows no colors. it is both.

it makes me cry to think that the child suffered so bad and no one cared.

This is such a frustrating and sad situation. We have to start trying to educate people that using violence is NOT a way to teach children. Obviously it does not work!! The problem with “spanking” as a form of punishment is that most people with common sense know that spanking consists of a light tap on a child’s behind but unfortunately you will have people like these monsters who take it to mean beating a child and then will say they were only trying to discipline their child. What’s the answer?? I don’t know…. less teen parents, more education….. *** sigh*** it is all so very sad.

it has nothing to do with thier age. plenty of women or girls had kids as teens and did a fine job. it is not education. they are educated in school. i don’t want to sound like a religiose freak cuz i’m not. but….. since we took religion out of our education system it seems the kids have gone to hell in a hand basket. sometimes the fear of something greater than us will stop us and make us think twice. i really wish i knew the answer.

How can any of you believe in “God” after reading this! Can anyone honesty believe that “A CARING,LOVING GOD” would allow such a thing to happen. As far as their age goes, it is not a factor. There are many loving, caring parents who PROTECT their children. When the Step Father first mentioned or used a belt on Riley the mother should have taken her baby and went to a shelter. When I was 19, back in 1984, my husband slapped my 29 month old daughter out of anger. I went after him with a kitchen knife. The jerk left the house. After that I packed up our stuff and went to a womens shelter. I lived in Houston, Texas then. The shelter helped me leave the state with my baby. Riley’s mother had options, she just chose not to take them! I hope that both of these animals get tortured in jail the way that they tortured Riley. At least in Texas they will get the death penalty for what they have done. It will be the people of Texas, not your mythical “God” who will ensure that justice is served in this case. Just for the record, the guy I was married was a “Born Again Christian.”
