A junior rugby union match in New Zealand was abandoned at the weekend after a player’s mother stormed onto the field and attacked one of her son’s 10-year-old rivals.
“Ugly parent syndrome” has become an all-too-common feature of junior sport, but rarely do the adults take it out physically on the kids.
