Sheesh, it’s baby carrier recall week here at IP. This time Baby Trend has issued a recall for its Back Pack carriers. Apparently the stitching isn’t quite strong enough and can possibly become loose or detach. There’s been one report of a child falling out and smacking their forehead on the ground. Can you imagine taking this on a hike in the mountains? There goes baby over the cliff! The only models included in the recall are style numbers 2512 and 2592LX, sold at discount department stores nationwide between 2002 and 2006. Baby Trend is offering a free replacement carrier, hopefully stitched a little better this time.
