Infant Bouncer Seats Recalled

bouncerseat.jpgAh, the bouncer seat. Mommy and daddy’s tool to be able to take a dump or a shower (or, on a good day, both). Sometimes it can be absolutely invaluable — unless, of course, the frame breaks and the baby cracks his head on the floor, which is apparently the danger of this Oeuf bouncer seat that is subject to a recall.

About 1,400 of these were sold in specialty stores and online from September 2006 through March 2007. Model number is 2005, and the seat is brown with either white, pink, or blue stripes and went for a cool $100. (No shit?! It looks like it was put together with a couple of coat hangers.) If it wasn’t so pricey I would say just to toss it and get a new one, but unfortunately it seems you’ll have to contact Oeuf and get replacement parts. Yes, that’s right, you have to fix it yourself you style-conscious sucker.
