I'm a Mominatrix

If you're wondering what it takes to be a Mominatrix, check out our "I'm a Mominatrix" interviews with some of the hottest moms on the internet who were willing to share the secret to their sex-cess. Apparently you don't need to be a leather wearing, whip carrying maven to be a Mominatrix, after all. These ladies have their own special ways of making sure their libidos know whose boss.

Featured Mominatrix: Kelly Diels

Kelly Diels is a weekly writer for ProBlogger, wildly hireable freelance writer, and the creator of Cleavage, a blog about three things we all want more of: sex, money and meaning.

What makes you a "Mominatrix?"

The catsuit, definitely.

How do you feel about the term "MILF?"

I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, awesome, because of course being a mother doesn't negate your sexuality. On the other hand, ewwww, because doesn't that acronym imply that mothers are usually not hot? There's a sexist social commentary embedded in that assumption.

How has "sexy" changed since you've become a mother?

I am sexier now, because of mothering. Now, I appreciate my body: look at what it can do. I grew people. And now my character and emotional life are richer, deeper, wider, which means I'm intensely present and able to be empathetic and communicative. I can truly connect to a partner now.

How has motherhood affected your sex life?

It fired it up. I am lit with love and it spills over into every arena of my life: sex, creativity, business - everything.

What's a simple sexy tip (or tips) that you can share with other moms?

Enjoy it. Nap a lot. When I'm rested, I'm delightful. When I'm tired, even I don't want to be around myself.

Your sexiest body part?

My brain.

What accessory or piece of clothing makes you feel the sexiest?

I really like fishnet stockings, and hot shoes (or a colourful bra) always make me feel hot.

Any special tricks (ahem)?

Enthusiasm is never over-rated.

"Try as hard as we may for perfection, the net result of our labors is an amazing variety of imperfectness. We are surprised at our own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways." -- Samuel McChord Crothers
