Here is a new desert recipe that my family LOVES!!! Its so quick and easy! I dont know the exact name for it so Ive named it Pastel Pie (translation: Pastel in Spanish means cake and then pie! So its Cake Pie).

Pastel Pie

Ingredients:
~ 2 cans of favorite pie filling
~ 2 sticks of butter
~ 1 yellow cake mix
~ handful of pecans

Oven temp:
~ 350 degrees

Method:
Pour your 2 cans of pie filling in a 9x11 cooking dish. Pour the dry cake mix on top (DO NOT ADD ANYTHING TO MIX...LEAVE DRY!!!), slice up the butter and put all over on top of cake mix. Then sprinkle some pecans over the top and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 mins, uncovered!

I've made it with canned peaches, and a cinnamon-sugar-flour combo sprinkled over top.

Ohh...that sounds good! Except for the peaches! I dont eat any other pie except for apple! But the cinnoman sugar flour crumble sounds good!!! Smile
