I know he's been boring over the last month or so, but last night - WOW! He was flawless. His voice was beautiful. I guess he saved the best for last. And, the calculated move to sing "Imagine" for his final song - brilliant!
What does everyone else think? |

He did do very well!! But I'm just bored with him. He did blow me away with his voice, actually he always has but there's just something about him that makes me forget him! I love David Cook, I still think he did great last night but compared to Archuletta, he's being shadowed now. I stayed up until 12 last night to vote!! Only got through 3 times  All 3 were for David Cook. I chose him so I'm backing him. I prefer Cook over Archuletta but Archuletta is probably going to take the gold tonight  |

David A will most likely win. His Elton John song was perfect! But as usual, the other 2 were boring. Yes, even "Imagine" was boring. We already heard that before.
I loved David C singing U2.
But sadly, David A will be crowned tonight.
Maybe we'll get lucky and David C will still be the bigger star. Like how Clay Aiken was the bigger star over Ruben Studdard after season 2.......... |

I agree Jessica. David A was absolutely perfect last night. He really picked a much better ending song than David C. I still find him a tad bit on the boring side despite his sweet voice.  I just find myself always losing interest in listening before the song is through. He is young though and if he does in fact win(which it is looking like he will) I am sure he will learn how to change thigs up a bit.
I do think it was very smart of David C after Simon's assessment of his last song to say he was not trying to do something familiar but rather something out of his comfort zone. Smart Move IMO. You never want Simon being the last one to speak especially if it is negative. That would have been a definite loss to David C. if he hadn't chimed in. I think David A has a very good chance of being crowned tonight  but I am still cheering for David C. my fav. idol rocker! I think he deserves the Idol crown because of his originality but Ii agree that doesn't look like it will be the case! Well it cannot come soon enough for me!  |

Great Point! I was thinking about Kelly Clarkson and how Simon never really thought she was ever going to make it let alone win. Look where she is at. Though she did end up winning the idol it is possible for the judges to get things wrong from time to time. I completely agree that David C will be a huge start despite a loss. I can't wait to buy his first album!  |

| Speaking of Simeon, do you remember Jennifer Hudson, well he talked terrible to her on the show , but she went on to stardom (no thanks to American Idol) and while she was on Oprah, he had nothing to say, she was and is a very talented young woman, |
