Dh's sister was nominated and selected as the artist for this year's Memphis In May poster.

Wow! It's beautiful! I can't believe she's never been to Spain before. It looks like she spent months backpacking through it and filling notebooks with quick sketches. Congrats to her on her success.

She is very talented. I can barely draw a stick figure, so I am very in awe of artists. What a honor that must for her.

It really is a big deal here to be chosen for this, and it's not something you apply for. Someone else nominated her and she was chosen by a committee. We are very proud of her! I saw the original artwork, and it's six small canvases. It's hard to tell on-line, but they did an amazing job of photographing it for the poster so you can see that the canvases have depth, instead of just six squares, if that makes sense.
