OMG...why do I keep getting suckered in by these Bravo shows? I never liked reality TV and now I'm hooked on Project Runway, Real Housewives, and my newest love Top Chef. Does Bravo put subliminal messages in the shows?
Anyway, who loves this show besides me? This is my first season watching, but I've been catching up with the last season when I can. Was anyone shocked that Betty got kicked off? |

| Hmmm, I'm intrigued. I'm assuming this is a "Project Runway" type show, but for chefs? I may have to add this to the ol' tivo... |

Oh, you know I do, Becky. I watched last season, too. (as an aside-- I keep telling myself that I'm not going to watch Top Designer when it starts airing, but I'm pretty sure I will. Bravo's got my number) I have some serious love for Ilan and Sam.

Not so much. Every mistake that she made this season didn't seem so much like a misstep as a fundamental misunderstanding of cooking principles. Personality will only take you so far, you know? Plus, I think they're keeping Marcel around for the drama he creates.
Sooo, what about tonight's episode? I don't want to spoil anything... but I was just so all around disappointed. Boo to the whole thing.

Yes, exactly. It's weirdly addicting. I didn't think that I would want to watch it at all, since, you know, how can you rate someone's food through the TV, but I've been suckered in two seasons in a row. Bravo re-runs the whole season every week, so it would be easy to catch up. |

I heart this show!! Heart it!!
I could not stand Betty so I am glad she was gone. Did anyone find Wolverine, er Marcel's rap last night just a riot (and not laughing with him but laughing at him)?
I am torn about watching Top Design (or is it project design?), but I felt that way about Top Chef and me love some drama in the kitchen.
And honestly I have made several of the recipes and they really are good.

I finally watched last week's show (I have to Tivo it b/c I can't stay up that late!) and Marcel's "rap" was...well...really special
I wasn't really surprised that Betty got the boot. I was more surprised that it didn't happen after the camp episode when she added sugar to her dessert the next day. I know these shows are edited a certain way, but the rules were really clear to me and adding ingredients to your approved recipe after the dietician inspected it was a big no-no.
Who do you think will win? I had been thinking Sam, but what was he thinking with that dessert? I also thought that Michael might sneak in there and be an upset winner, but now he's gone. |

I'm glad Michael's gone and I think he should have "been gone" a long time ago. I liked him, don't get me wrong, I just don't think he has what it takes to be a "Top Chef" and feel that some of the others that have left before him deserved to stay.
I actually liked Betty (although I agree she broke the rules - quite a few of them have broken the rules so far this season, havn't they??) and LOVED to watch her and Marcel go at it. It just cracked me up! LMAO! But Marcel drives me INSANE! He really does. What a little weasel. He just gets on my nerves.
I love this show and look forward to it every week. |

I can't believe we made it the whole season and not one person called Marcel "Wolverine". That is all we have called him this season in our house.
Can't wait to find out who Elia throws under the train tomorrow. |

well...Marcel has the Wolverine hair, but he's not hot like Hugh Jackman
I finally watched this week's epi yesterday and OMG! I can't believe that Sam didn't get into the final round. Now I really hope Elan wins. I don't know why I can't stand Marcel. Is it his hair, the way he is rude to everyone, or the "rap" that he did a few episodes ago? |

| I actually hate Ilan more than Marcel because Ilan was obsessed with Marcel and so whiny this season. Mostly I feel like Sam was ripped off. |

Wolverine? LMAO! Here we just call him Jimmy Neutron!
I though that Ilan and Elia should have been kicked off. I was SHOCKED when Sam was kicked off. I definatly thought it was going to be Sam and Marcel. But when Sam was kicked off and it was Ilan and Marcel, I actually wanted Marcel to win. And I have not been a Marcel fan in any way, shape or form! lol I wanted his sugar/vinegar drops to work, but aI laughed when Mikey left the fish home. When Sam stepped up and helped Marcel make a new dish, it just proved that he got screwed because he shows strong leadership/management material. There's something about Ilan that I just don't like. I'm not sure I can even put my finger on it, I just don't like him. |

| Oh for the record I never thought Marcel was hot like Hugh Jackman, just the hair. We spent the whole season laughing about it. |

| LMAO It never entered my mind that you may have thought that he was hot. I don't think he is, nobody I've talked to think he is and I didn't think you thought he was either. I wonder if he knows how much of a turn off he is! I know that's mean to say, but I just couldn't help it. LOL |

| I didn't even watch the second half of the finale. I thought the first half sucked (Elia? Hello? Shut Up.) and then someone outed the winner on another website I go to so I just didn't bother. This season was so weird and lame. Sam should have won, I think. I had liked Ilan from the beginning, but (IMO) he really wasn't that good, and the whole Marcel-baiting thing got really old really fast. |
