Ok, I'm now ready to take my own motherly advice and spit this out... right into your hands. Please be gentle for I am a true internet poster virgin (I had trouble just getting this up ) I sort of stumbled across this site while finally beginning to follow through on a recurring resoltuion. Seeing that this was locally owned and operated (for me), I felt obliged to check it out. Glad I did. I've already laughed out loud a few times which was definetly needed. I'm a proud minivan-driving (yes, I like my van) mom to 2 ("The Boy",9 and "The Girl", 5) and wife to 1 ("The Man", 39). Oh yeah, and owner of 1 bipolar lab (free to good home, 4).
I'll try to be a good neighbor.
MOOOMMM! (Screamed extra loud and repeatedly, it usually gets my attention) |

Welcome! Glad you're here. And for some real side-splitting fun, check out the WTF Toy Round-up in the humor section. A google search brought me to that and I was in tears, laughing so hard! |

Welcome! I also have a 9-year-old boy and a 5-year-old (but mine's a boy), in addition to a 4 yo girl and an 8 month old girl. I also love my minivan, so suck it van haters.
Good to see that Scott and jess have another local around. The Tennessee folks were getting too deep around here! |

Hello neighbor! (Actually, you really could be my neighbor for all I know!)
So, what recurring resolution are you following through with? Weight loss? Losing the husband? Tell your kids to wait a minute for hours on end?
Welcome! |

Actually, my resolution is to finally try and get published (with my name as opposed to "Edited by Dr. Expert"). Unfortunately, Jessica, thanks to you and your husband and the other great contributers here I've been sucked into this Imperfect World pulling me once again off task (not too difficult to do).
As for the other resolutions:
YES to the lose weight (will switching to low-fat poptarts help?)
NO to the lose the hubby (though he'd probably trade me for a Superbowl ticket right now)
Working on it re: ignoring kids (this usually only kicks in after the 12th trip upstairs to see a new drawing or monster or lego creation) Really, I'm not a complete slacker! |
