Hi Lisa-
I hope you are still around here (since you still kick my butt on trivia) since I need your gardening expertise. Though I probably will not get working on it until spring I am trying to design the changes I want to make to my backyard.
I have a bunch of broken up concrete. Do you know anything about making a rock garden?
I also may finally start that vegetable garden. Should I pick the corner with all sun or partial sun?
Thanks in advanced!

Dear Trivia Rival:
Dang if I know what to do about the concrete rocks but you might want to start here.
As to your second question. Most veggies prefer direct sun, though some would appreciate partial shade during the hottest summer months like lettuce.
Go with the corner with the most sun. How big is it and what kind of veggies are you thinking of growing? |

Thanks for the link. It was much better than what I found online for rock gardens.
As for the veggie garden, I am not sure what to grow. I think tomatos, carrots, onions and lettuce? Maybe pumpkins or squash? I will have to read earlier posts of yours to see what you said was easy to grow.
I am bailing out of trivia this month but I will try to return in December. It is hard always coming in second to you! Actually I have been pretty sick and we will be away over Thanksgiving.
Janna <- pretty damn smart but not as smart as Lisa . . . so far . . . |
