Who do you think will be in the final 3?

My money is on Michael, Uli and Jeffrey.

But I think Laura is my fave. She always looks so elegant and with 5 kids. I look like crap and I only have 1.

I think Uli or Micheal will win (though I'm pulling for Michael).
I hate, hate, HATE Jeffery. He's such a tool. He so full of himself I can barely stand to watch him. I just want to smack his smug no talent face. I don't see why they keep rewarding him. He did NOT deserve to win the "travel" challenge. He had black pants, a t-shirt and purple jacket. Snore. You could have bought that crap off the rack (not that you should). I'm on the fence about the coture challenge he won. Yeah, yeah, it was fashion forward, but it was also hideous.
I adore Laura and find her crazy elegant, but she makes the same damn thing over and over. I'm so sick of seeing breastbones. She's got great personal style, but I think she should stick to being an architect (or mom to her 835 children). I can't believe she's 42 and looks that great. Her hubby is 60. You know she has money too. When they flew to Paris, all her luggage was Louis Vuitton. And have you had a look at her shoes? Money, money, money, money.
I thought Uli was going to fall victim to the making the same thing over and over again, but she pulled it off this week. You could tell it was designed by her, but it was done in 12 different patterns. She's a master at combining patterns, but can overdo it sometimes. I like her style though.
Kayne. Kayne, Kayne, Kayne, Kayne, Kayne. You can take the boy out of the white trash, but you can't take the white trash out of the boy. He does great pagent dresses which is a good, because he is the master of gaudy. Bless his tacky little heart, he tries, but he just can't get away from the gold and sparkle.
I lurve me some Micheal. He's a good designer and comes up with cool stuff for amost every challenge. I wasn't crazy about the coture dress until they had him tuck those boob things in. It looked great after that. I think he's the only one who doesn't really make the same basic thing over and over, and that's why I like him.
I'm so glad someone else on here likes this show!!

You're probably right on the final three, Becky. I still think that Laura has a chance-- it's going to be her or Uli, I think. Both of them do their 'thing' and that's about it. Uli did a (much) better job of breaking out of her box for the couture challenge, but I still think that it could go either way.

Poor Kayne. He's so tacky, and he just doesn't care. PR made his career when he won the Miss USA challenge, though, so I can't feel too bad for him when he eventually goes home. It would make my year to see his rhinestone studded pageant dress collection if he somehow managed to squeak through. Very Happy

I love Michael. He has the most range of anyone left-- and I've noticed that Michael Kors and Nina Garcia say the same things about him (that he really thinks about the design, that he knows how to dress a woman's body, etc) that they consistently said about Chloe last season, and well, she won.

Jeffrey just makes me tired. He doesn't have the personality to back up his enormous ego. He's slightly more bearable now that Angela's gone, but still. I couldn't stand her and her horrible aesthetic, but I actually felt really bad about the way she went home. Flying them to Paris just to ship someone immediately back home was cruel.

I love this show. I don't even watch it (no cable), I keep up with it through the website Embarassed . Anyway I loved Laura's couture gown and Jeffrey's too. I don't know who will win and I don't really care about that part. I just like hearing the challenges and seeing what they do with it, and thinking what I would do Laughing . I also like the critique by Tim Gunn, the other judges aren't all that good. I usually don't agree with the winner. I like the ones that are good, but also push the envelope a little.

SS, you can read a full recap of the episodes (full of snark) at www.televisionwithoutpity.com The day after the episode there is a quick recap and within a few days there is a full blow by blow. Even though I watch the show, I love to read the recap. There are no photos, but you feel like you've watched the show (minus actually getting to see the clothes).

Anthro, I totally agree about Kayne's career being made with the Miss USA challenge. He does great pagent stuff, but otherwise, poor thing.

hello1 Thanks for that. I've been using the Bravo website, which has photos, but they aren't always good.[/quote]

I totally agree that Laura looks a little skinny. Wink I just can't believe that anyone with 5 kids (even if she has a nanny, which she probably does) can have time to look that put together. I bow down before her. I just have time to make sure that my sweatpants aren't toostained before I run out the door. I think I've styled my hair a total of 4 times since Michael was born. I wore earrings today and DH was all suspicious like "what's up with you...where are you going" b/c I never even take the time to wear jewelry anymore except my wedding ring. Sad, huh? When this second one comes along I'll probably stop showering and just stay in my pajamas all day.

SO, what did you all think of last week? Bringing back Angela and Vincent? LAME! They are so nuts! I lurved the b&w challenge. Laura totally deserved that win. Her dress was gorgeous. I liked Michael's too, but thought the white was too much for a cocktail dress. And Jeffrey's! ACK! I can't believe he didn't get auf'd for that crap. She looked like a street walker. Poor Kayne. If only he had added some white to the front. It was a beautiful sillouette, it just needed some white.
Who do you think is in the F3? I saw the runway show from the F4 on youtube.com the other day and I have no idea who should win. Laura's was crazy classic (but gorgeous), Michael's was...um, strange, but I liked it for the most part, Uli's was un-Uli like as there were far more than halter dresses and Jeffrey's was, well, weird.
Thoughts? Anyone?

Oh,man! My neighbor just taped 10 episodes for me, so I finally got to watch the show. I love it!!
I agreed that Laura deserved the win for the b/w challenge, but thought Jeff should have been auffed. Kane's dress was better over all and it did have some white on the back. As far as Vincent and Angela coming back, well thats just part of the game. I think they mentioned that winning a challenge had special signficance this season, it didn't do them any good, though did it? Laughing

SS, I'm so glad you got to see it! Hoorah! cheers Yes, Jeffrey should have been auf'd for that craptastic piece he sent down the runway.

Vincent is so nuts. I thought it was strange that they were brought back, but like SS said, it didn't do them any good!

I liked Kayne's dress a lot. It was super-cute, no? and Jeffrey's was awful. Just awful. If Kayne had put just a little white in his dress, Jeffrey might have been off. But...the judges really seem to like him for some reason.

I can't wait for the next show! I TIVO And watch on Thurday b/c I can't stay up from 10 to 11.

I am starting to think Laura can pull a win. Her dress was so cute and very un-Laura.

What do you all think of the work room? Have you ever heard of "Consew" machines? Every studio and factory I have ever been in (including the studios at Pratt) used Singer 191 industrial sewing machines for straight stitching. They are so fucking tough you can sew through your own finger (which I have ) or hit them with a sledge hammer (I have not) and they keep right on sewing. I noticed a lot of the designers are having problems with the machines from the very first show on, do you think that producers of the show have deliberately sabotaged the machines or are they just junk?
I think if I were to be on the show I would take a course in sewing machine repair first Laughing .

Soooooo....what did everyone think? We got a huge band of storms while the show was on and I kept begging the satellite not to go out, and it didn't until about 6 miutes before the show ended. Laura had just been told she was in and I was so nervous for Michael and BAM! black screen. I almost had a heart attack. The storms subsided about 10 minutes later and it came back, but the show was over! OMG the stress! I knew it was coming on again at 11pm, so I Tivo'd it (praying the storms would not come back) and watched the end at 7am. I can't believe there's no decoy and they're all in!
I cannot WAIT for the reunion show with Keith and his smug self. I'm also hoing Malan will be the audience favorite, cause I love him.

JM, you should go with the DVR then you don't have to worry about storm outages and you can most likely just watch your show on demand, so you don't have to tevo it. I used to be all over satellite until we got DVR. (That sounded like such a cheesey plug, but really, there's no partnership there!)

I'm not sure what I really think about there being a final four instead of a final three, but I was beginning to be sure that Michael was going to be 'Auf'd' since Jeffrey is good for drama, so I'm mostly just happy that he's still in.

I love Malan, too, by the way. I was all set for him to be my favorite this season, and I was completely shocked when he was out by the second episode. The prevailing view over at bravotv.com seems to be that Allison will be the fan favorite-- which I don't get at all. I was not all that impressed with her designs on the show, and her voice really annoyed me for some reason.
