Scout, which version do you have the Revised Standard or the New Revised Standard? Apparently the New Revised Standard is even more liberal in it's interpretations (gender neutral, etc.), but has more thorough notes.

I think it's the Revised Standard Edition. I had to buy it for some classes in college and that was about 15 years ago, so it's probably not the newer one.
