I got a bunch of different brands of diapers before Genevieve was born at a diaper shower, which is cool because it has given me a chance to try out all different kinds. Can someone tell me why Pampers has sooo many pictures *all over* the diapers? They work well but they are so stupid-looking, lol. So, general thoughts on brands:

Huggies Supreme-way too squishy when even slightly wet, but love the stretchy tabs. I wish all diapers had these. Prone to leak at the legs.

Luvs-Work great. I wish the waist was at least a little bit stretchy though. Glad the heavy scent is gone. Could live without Blues Clues, but no biggie.

Parent's Choice (Walmart brand I think): They rock! A little bit of stretch in the back waistband, don't leak, not scented (I hate scented diapers!), not covered with obnoxious pictures. Love 'em.

White Cloud: I used to love these but now they seem hard to put on. The waist is not stretchy at all and it seems like it's smaller across than other dipes, if that makes sense. They work fine though.

Do you have a Kroger near you? I don't know if it's just a midwest chain. I swear by their diapers! They're made by P&G, who also make Pampers and Luvs I think. They're so cheap compared to name brands!

I think the diapers keep making them look dumber and dumber as the years pass. When E was baby they were all plain white, except for the velcro strip across the front which was covered with tabs when the diaper was on anyway. Except for Huggies Supreme that had a Winnie picture on the bum.
Since having Owen they got all funky. I used to love Cruisers until they made those huge purple streaks around the legs. Ugh. I stopped using them then. Even my beloved Luvs wrecked the plain white motif for his new obnoxious lattice type print all over. Mad

Annie, do the Kroger ones run small? I used to find all store brands to run a size smaller than the brand names. Owen's in a 6, so if they are small they won't work for him. Of course I could stop procrastinating and potty train the kid already. pottytrain5

Yes, I do all my shopping at Kroger and used to buy their dipes all the time. I will be again, I'm sure, once I run out of these I have, which should take a while.

Melissa, the Pampers cruisers I have are the only ones now with an all-over print, and it is super obnoxious. They have all the Sesame St characters all over them plus these weird greenish swirls and stars and stuff. very stupid looking.

I think they might run small, I buy a 4 for Kate and she is about 20 lbs... still in the range for size 3s but I can't get them around her legs. Molly was in a 5 when she was last in dipes... about 3 mos ago and she's pretty small, 27 lbs.
