Anyone watch it? We caught the second half. I thought it was GREAT! That and the supernanny are now my favorite shows to plop the kids in front of to demonstrate SEE! WE'RE DOING WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY, WE'RE NOT HORRIBLE, STRICT, MEAN PARENTS, WE'RE DOING IT FOR YOU! Man, all the stuff she said were things I have said a million times a day. It is so nice to have external reinforcement come into my livingroom via a source that the kids believe (the TV). If only it were a cartoon ala Spongebob or Fairly Oddparents.
I did think that the nutritionalist's expectations were extreme and the kids and I talked about that while we watched the show. I think she went overboard with it because their habits were soooo bad and their health was at such a high risk. Also, she only had a short time to try to turn them around. I think too, that with people who eat like that, it's like being an alcoholic to an extent, they can't do moderation. It has to be all or none, at least for a long time. |

I didn't see it. Did they just eat crap like cookies and donuts all day or what? Did the kids freak out when they saw how gross they were going to look as adults? Oh wait, that's on TLC right? I don't get my fix tomorrow because my parents are going to GA to see my sister (for the baby's *Christening*! This is huge since my parents are Baptist. Christening is a big no no. I'm getting quite the wicked little kick out of the whole thing. Sorry, what were we talking about? Oh...) But yeah, I saw the previews for it and thought it looked interesting. |
