I don't buy from sellers with negative feedback. |

I am sure someone will "buy it now", that's a very good price!
$30 for shipping? Is that a mistake? |

| No, it's not a mistake. It would be a box of clothing, and I have been burned on shipping before. |

Scott- that lady was a bitch. She received a wedding slip and I guess hated it...but she should have told me. I would have refunded it no problem...instead she instantly left me negative feedback
DC - if you have any suggestions on what shipping should be I am open. I just never charge enough...and all these clothes fill up a paper box (ie Office Depot) So I would think the shipping would be really high!! I also tend to ship priority so it gets to the person faster. I always get so frustrated when things take 10 years to get to me.
If yalll notice...my "positive" feedback is "FAST" shipping |

Okay, I revised the item. Thanks for feedback. Yes .05 cents an item was a steal...LOL!
So, my buy it now is now $20.00 and I left the shipping alone, because US Priority for a 10lb box is between 20-23 dependent on zip code. Plus my time to pack the box, put the clothing in zip lock bags and going to the post office, etc. 30 is more than fair for shipping.

a couple things...
first of all, I sell on ebay occassionally and buy a lot.
I'll say right now that nobody is going to pay $20 + 30 for that lot. It is $50 for used clothing that is not a name brand. Another problem is that is is all mixed seasons. You have a lot of long sleeve shirts (that people this time of year are not looking for) mixed in with some short sleeve things and sandals.
That shipping is high. You can weigh the packed box (on just your bathroom scale even) and then calculate the postage. For heavy items shipping UPS or FedEx is MUCH cheaper than doing it through the post office. I've shipped a 40 pound pox of dishes with $300 insurance coverage for $14 across the country by going through FedEx.
I think someone may be inclined to pay the $20 for the clothes, but the $30 shipping is a killer. You can think about selling through Craiglist, which is free to list with, and because it is local the shipping would not apply. |
