It's supposed to be a sculpture of Britney Spears? But it doesn't even look like her, and how can it be about her when the sculpture is a natural birth and she gave birth by c-sec?

Just ran over this article and thought it was so weird!

Yeah, I've been seeing that everywhere. She chose a surgical birth just because. That's about as far from birthing on all fours on a bear skin rug as you can get. Rolling Eyes And it's supposed to be a pro-life thing? It's so bizarre. Why did he choose her of all people?

Yea, it's funny because chain-smoking, alcohol drinking, new momma is the last person I'd want depicted as part of the pro-life movement. Laughing

Didn't you read the last two sentences? He's NOT pro-life.

"When asked whether he's pro-life, he said, "You nailed me. I'm not saying that I am. I wouldn't march with either pro-life or pro-choice advocates. This is not meant to be political."

A Democrat, "I don't judge anybody for the decision they make."

He's obvioulsy trying to make you think about the pro-life movement in light of Britney Spears.

Trust me. I've been to far too many pretensious, champagne sipping "too cool for the room" gallery openings and parties (one of my friends is heavy into that shit) and most of that art for art's sake is crapola and bizarre. Do you know how many red dots or a splash of poo or an old pair of sunglasses wrapped up in a kleenex meant to exhibit AIDS in Africa that I've seen? You have to take it with a grain of salt and realize that art is as much publicity, eccentricity and exhibitionism. Sometimes I think the last laugh is on the gullible public and other times I think these artists take themselves way too seriously.

Ah Jess, I think I see what your saying. So it is likely that he's almost making fun of it? And she doesn't realize this and thinks she is some great poser of statues?

I am definitely part of the gullible public! Laughing
