both the "back" and "forward" buttons on my toolbar are missing. They are there, but as shadows only, being unclickable. Do you have any idea how infuriating it is to be online and never be able to use "back"??
Dh ran several spyware things, it didn't fix it. He also tried reinstalling Windows, that didn't help. We have restarted, rebooted, let the computer take a nap...nothing helped.
Please, some computer savvy techno whiz, help us find our missing buttons!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you ever so much. |

Whoa, that's really weird! I seem to recall something similar happening to my past boss, and this was the fix:
Are you using Internet Explorer?
Go to Tools -> Internet Options
Make sure "Days to keep pages in history" is > 0. |

If Internet Explorer is set to full screen mode, then the menu bar will not be visible. To work around this problem, follow these steps:
1. Press F11 to bring Internet Explorer to normal view.
2. Click View, point to Toolbars, click Standard, and then select the Standard toolbar check box is selected. If Standard toolbar is already selected, go to step 3.
3. Click View, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
4. Click Front in the Available toolbar buttons list, and then click Add.
5. Click Back in the Available toolbar buttons list, and then click Add.
6. Click Close. |
