I managed to tweak this recipe to work well with a crockpot.

Turkey Kielbasa and Saurkraut:

Ingredients:

1 1/2lbs Turkey Kielbasa, cubed (Hillshire Farms makes a great sausage!)

16oz pkg Saurkraut

2 Apples, chopped

2 Large Potatoes, cubed w/ skins

1 1/2 tsp caraway seeds

2 tbsp Brown sugar

1/8 tsp paprika (more/less to taste)

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (more/less to taste)

Dash of black pepper (more/less to taste)

Directions:

Place saurkraut in crockpot, do not drain juice. Mix in brown sugar, caraway seeds, paprika and cayenne pepper. Add Sausage, apples and potatoes and mix well. Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or 3 hours on HIGH.

Serves 4 - 6
