Another "Stumble" gal here. My name is Valerie and I live in Ohio with my DH, Chris and our 4 kids. I have been a SAHM for 8.5 years and started back to college (again) last quarter. I'm just taking a class or two in the evenings right now. Hopefully, I'll have my RN before I turn 40 (I'm 34) and I'll achieve my career goals before 65. LOL

Trying to think of things about my family...

My older three attend a Montessori school, my youngest is still home with me.

My oldest is Owen. He could generously be described as "precocious". He has a real affinity for math, loves reading and adores John Lennon and The Beatles. He's 8 going on 18 and not always pleasant. Wink

My second is Harris. He's 6, and was diagnosed with OCD last year. He's quite the ladies man (really LOL). He loves science, BMX and punk rock music.

My third is Cyril. He's 5 and a bundle of energy. The kids has two speeds fast and faster. He's in this amazing place where he's intellectually maturing but still enjoying so many childish things. I wish I could just freeze him in time. He loves Thomas (all trains really), Hot Wheels and animals. He becoming quite a little reader this year.

And last, but not least is Lila. She's 3.5 and a self-proclaimed Princess. I really don't know how she got so darn girlie, 'cause it didn't come from me. LOL She has discovered the joys of computer games recently. She also loves baby dolls, fairies, etc, etc. Just think girlie stuff. She also happens to be the meanest of the lot, tough as nails. LOL

My DH manages a small restaurant that one day we hope to take over. He's been there 11 years.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the movies and billiards. My best friend and I play on Thursday nights.

Looking forward to meeting you and making some new friends. Smile

Welcome to the group. I am pretty new here myself. It sounds like you have your hands full with your family. I have a princess myself and I am trying to learn to like girly stuff for my daughter's sake. The group seems a bit quiet due to the holiday but it should pick back up soon. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Valerie and Welcome!

For some reason, your introduction conjured up images of Lenette on Desperate Housewives. Your kids sound like they are very colorful! That's great that they have so much imagination and that it seems like you try to foster that.

It sounds like you have a lot of interesting stories up your sleeve. Please stay and share them! We love newbies!!

Thanks for the welcome. Smile

I haven't managed to watch "Desperate Housewives", but I am familiar with the character. I've always thought of myself more as Louis from "Malcolm in the Middle". Either way it's not good, right? Wink

I'm a pretty laid back parent. I don't know if it's the 4 kids or just my nature but I don't get worked up about much. So, if you see me in a tizzy it's probably a big deal (at least to me). LOL

I wouldn't say that, I love both of them! They are more "real" and dare I say, imperfect... Laughing

Welcome!

Have family in the Buckeye State, Mansfield to be more specific.

My accent is not your normal NJ accent, sort of a combination of the mid-west and NY State Borscht-Belt region. Without my slight midwest tongue, I would have been the only Episcopalian with a Jewish accent! Laughing

I have b/g twins, but I almost wish my 17 mo. daughter would be a little princess. She's an engineer like her father.
