the BIGGEST 2 month old in the US. At least the tallest. At 25.5 inches, she is off the chart for height, and not just by a little bit either. Not kind of hugging that top line, lol, she is OFF the chart. I couldn't believe it, so I double checked the length and it is correct.
She also weighs 12lbs 11 ounces, which is right on the 90th percentile line for weight, which I guess considering her six-month baby length isn't bad. My goodness. So much for wanting her to stay smaller a little longer to cherish the last baby tinyness. She's wearing 6-9 month outfits now. She can roll tummy-to-back, she coos and gurgles and holds her head straight when you pull her up by her arms (the doctor was amazed). She is just so much like an older baby. Sigh. We'll be sending her to high school next week. |

Wow what a tall girl! I think Aaron is 10th percentile for height, so at this rate they'll be the same size my christmas. lol
Way to go, Liz! |

She's probably going to be tall! My boys were literally off the charts and big ol' chubby babies, but Holden is as skinny as they come, just extremely tall.
Wait. How old is Lizzie now?
I'm envious. Motherhood just seems to roll off you like a comfy shirt. I was always a nervous wreck when mine were babies. |

Wow, she is big!! I bet you guys are having so much fun with her. I love it when they are not all chicken-legs and scrawny, it's nice when they fill out and get a bit more solid! We had a newborn over here this weekend and she looked so... breakable! It nice when they get some fat! Maybe I will eat up and try to birth a big one this time.... |

Jess, she was 10 weeks on Tuesday. So, her two month appt should have been done around June 26th, but that's when her baptism was, so I put it off a week.
We are having fun with her. I tell ya, she's just like our little toy. All of us. The kids are just smitten, and we're not terribly nervous with her, so it is just a lot of fun.
But, she did have a fever from her shots last night. The ped talked me into the "pediarix" combo--it was the DTaP, Hep B and the IPV. It was a lot more than I wanted to do, but sadly, Liz was hollering when I was trying to discuss it with the doctor who was very much in favor of giving this shot. It's done. I hope she doesn't suffer any long-term effects from it. Fever and fussiness last night, and I do hope that's all.
Then in a month, we'll do the Hib and I'll look into the Prevnar some more before I decide on that one.
Annie--both A&K had the chicken legs thing going. These chubby thighs are new to us! She's not FAT. I see sumo-babies and they are cute, but she's not like that. But, for us, any excess body fat on the babies is a novelty. I think it's because she's so much more laid back than A&K were. I think she burns off less of it. And, she never spits up. She had one spit up when she was just a week or so old and that was it, so what she takes in, she keeps in.
I'm just not buying ahead for any clothes. I'm buying her current size and that's it. Eileen gave her this adorable dress and I put it on her Tuesday and already, she was too big. It was too tight to button in the front. She never got to wear it |

Annie, don't eat up and try and birth a big one. The food will go straight to your ass and your baby will be tiny anyway.
I could hardly eat when I was pg with Nate and the child was almost 8 lbs. And then I could eat when I was pg with Aaron and he was smaller at 7 lbs. They only take what they want. But can I put in a shameless plug for bf'ing? It always made me skinner than when I started.
Rita, we went through that with Nate. he *was* fat. And would grow out of clothes quickly. I couldn't put baby jeans on him, his thighs and tummy were just chubby! Way too chubby. It's nice being able to put jeans on aaron. But I like babies both ways, because they are just fukking cute no matter what. Especially mine. |

Yes, they are cute. I do love her plumpness, just as I loved A&K's little scrawniness. It doesn't matter, babies are just adorable!
Annie, you could always get GD and then have a super fat baby! |

True. I have had a decent amount of self control up until the past couple weeks. I've gained 12 lbs total which is good for me. Suddenly I am STARVING. I am eating everything. I'm sure I will balloon up in no time.

Oh no, this house can't handle another special diet. One is more than enough! |
