Did anyone here rent one of those dopplers to listen to the baby's hb at home? Because I am a nervous freak, I did. It came yesterday and of course I cannot find the heartbeat. This fucking thing is hard to use! I am hoping that it is just b/c my uterus is so tilted that it cannot pick up the hb yet??? I am 11 weeks.
PP- when did you hear the hb in the dr's office? |

I never rented one because they can be hard to use and freak people out unnecessarily.
I remember at 11w with Nate they had a hard time finding his h/b. They actually had to do an internal and push my uterus forward towards the dopplar and then we were able to hear his h/b. When is your next doctors appt? |

It is in 2 weeks, I'll be 13 weeks 2 days then. I guess I can wait? I knew that it might be a bad idea to rent one of these things because of the potential for freak out |

| Call your doc office on monday and see if they'll let you come in for a h/b check. It's usually something they will do, especially for someone who has had a m/c previously. |

Yeah, I heard early on it can be hard to find a heartbeat with one of those. But, I'd like one NOW when she moves around a lot and then is totally still for like an hour.
I don't remember the first time they found the h/b, but it was around 12 weeks, I believe. I know at the 7 week and 9 week (different doctors) they couldn't, but at the next visit, at 12 weeks, I think they could. |

Thanks! I know I am a lunatic for worrying so much but the new OBgroup I started seeing is apparently accomodating to lunatics and I like that. |

No, you're not a lunatic. I completely understand, but I wish I didn't . |

| Yea, it's different being pg after a loss. I was so innocent and "everything will be fine!" before. Now I am paranoid and cynical! Ack! I am sorry you have been through it too. |
