Damnity, damn, damn, damn, this could not have happened at a worse time. Cooper and I were in the commissary (military grocery store) today and he dropped a glass jar of peanut butter (Smucker's natural) on my foot. I moved my finer as quickly as I could (thank goodness, or it would have hit the top of my foot and broken it), but it caught my toes. It took every ounce of willpower in my body not to cry right there. I knew if I did though, it would upset him, so I just steadied myself (and sood still for quite a long time) and took deep breaths. The jar of peanut butter did not break, BTW.
After a few minutes, I went on with my shopping (limping the whole way), with Cooper saying a milion and a half times "Uh-oh! I dropped, mama!" By the time I got home, my foot was throbbing. I took my boot off and could not believe my eyes. My foot was the size of a freaking caneloupe and my toes were purple. After I put my groceries away Very Happy

I carefully put my tennis shoes on (I'd had boots with a 2 inch heel on) and couldn't get it laced up. I went to the ER and got it exrayed. My 2nd, 3rd and 4th toes are all broken. Not just fractured, BROKEN. They taped them together (not much you can do for them) and gave me some happy pills and sent me home to "relax." I actually laughed when he said that. Cooper has had the flu, we just moved into a new house (which is a disaster), we don't have a fence up yet, so my dogs have to be taken out several times a day, and my dh is gone for the next 3 weeks. Relax! HA! The sad thing is I can't even take the happy pills, because of Cooper being sick. Crying or Very sad

Okay, my foot doesn't feel better, but I do. When it rains it pours. Evil or Very Mad

am I imagining it, or didn't you have a broken toe or foot not too long ago?

Damn, that must have hurt! I cringed reading about it. I hope it's better soon. You need a spa day, you sound stressed!

LOL, I find it funny that the google ads on this thread are for peanut butter. I guess if you had ordered it online, you wouldn't be in this mess. Laughing

Oh no! That sucks and I know that has to hurt. Maybe dh will feel so gyuilty about being gone while you have a sick toddler, a house full of boxes, and three broken toes that he will really spoil you when he gets back. Razz

That totally sucks but you seem to have an amazing perspective! First off, how in the hell did you keep from dropping the F bomb in the supermarket and screaming at ds not to ever touch anything ever again in his whole life???? LOL! Seriously though, I'm impressed with your ability to remain calm!
