this is my little girl's closet so far...
The colors in some of these pics are really off for some reason. These are not in any kind of order....
same dress as above, but paired with larger capris to use as a swing top later
this is what I was scouring the racks for at Gymboree right after our ultrasound
a couple bodysuits w/ mathcing bibs that dh picked up at baby gap. The one on the right says "I *heart* mommy", he says that's for Mother's Day.
The matching blanket for this stuff is on its' way from ebay!
her first swimsuits
This will probably be the coming home outfit.
trio of babygap bodysuits that dh picked out. Sunshine is my favorite.
Paige's first custom overalls! Honeybees, of course!
sleepers, all from Ethan's girl stash lol
Shopping is fun! |

OMG, you are nuts!
The outfits are adorable. But, I gotta tell you, for Liz, I bought like just a handful of necessities (gowns, sleepers, onesies), and she was given a whole shitload of clothes (Eileen, for one ), and then I went to the consignment store for the stuff after newborn and I got tons of stuff, but I paid like $2-3 for them. Some of that stuff I was able to sell back to the consignment store after she wore them a couple of times. Then I sent the whole big box of given and second-hand stuff to Kristy.
Now, Liz has been in 18 month clothes for over a year and she has three drawers bursting with stuff. Half of it is stuff I bought at the consignment store. The other half is stuff that was Alex's and Katie's that I had sent to our friend Lisa in Pittsburgh when her daughter was born (now 3) and she just sent them back again with some Sophie clothes added in. I have, I swear, 50 outfits in 18 month size and I didn't pay full price for any of them.
So....stop buying clothes full price right this minute. They are adorable, but she's only gonna get to wear them like once, maybe twice at that age, and you're spending so much money! |

Holy Dollar $ign$, Batman!
Just kidding! I loooove little girl clothes. Gymboree has such cute stuff, but I can't afford to shop there. I used to go there just for the non-skid socks in bold colors.
My favorite that you showed was the farm sweater with matching hoddie and socks. And I love the little sunglasses! |

Wow! Those are adorable! I can't imagine buying all that stuff, but I'm not the shopper. I bet you will sell it all on ebay in pristine condition after she outgrows it all, too.
I love the dress-turned-top. That's one of the perks with girls. |

O M G
I usually keep my babies in sleepers for the first 3 mos unless I am given clothes as gifts!
I bet that was fun to shop for. I finally bought something for our baby- a carseat. The one I used for the first 3 expired this year. |

oh, please! I do not pay full price for anything!!! I like cutie cute clothes, but I'm also cheap.
I'm on another little private board where there happen to be a few ladies who work at Gymboree and they had this stuff (it's from last sping/summer lines) in their back rooms and because it was so old it was like $3.99 to $5.99 for a set! I had to hunt down the matching blankets on ebay though. But still, those were about 1/2 of what regular retail would have been.
As for the other stuff, dude, they had great sales this winter! Regular retail on the bigger size stuff whoulda been well over $500, but I paid like $100 and got Gymbucks with that purchase to boot!
I have a monthly "allowance" to work with, two other kids to clothe aswell, I'm not spending all our money on this stuff. Pinky swear! |

When are you due? I am feeling very slacky in my preparation in comparison to you!!
Getting cute clothes on sale is the best! I really don't enjoy shopping (unless online!)so I rarely find the cute gymbo outfits on sale. Maybe this weekend I will do some shopping for a coming home outfit. Or two, I guess, since I want it to be gender specific. |

Annie, I'm due 3/31, probably having the c/s on about 3/23.
I'm sure you have almost everything you need though, considering you've been cranking out babies for the last five years. J/K!
Instead of asking for gift for myself for Christmas, I asked for the baby gear we needed (since we got rid of it all when we moved). So from that I got the bathtub and bouncy seat, I got a nice highchair on clearance with a good coupon code from BC. The swing we kept.
We still need a sleeping place, but MIL said she'd like to buy our crib. We also need a carseat/stroller... I'm leaning towards just using a snap-n-go thingie, though dh detests those.
I'd also like to get a changing pad to use on our dresser for a changing table. I had planned to get a pack-n-play to use in our room, with a changing table attached, but I think we will be tight on space in there as it is.
And the ONLY way both boys will be able to fit in Ethan's room is with bunkbeds, so that's another purchase we need to make. |

O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking at stuff makes me want another girl!!!!! So damn cute! I'm a gymboree whore so I need to stay far far away from that store. I can't even go in there w/o dropping a couple of hundred dollars and since all my stuff for Manda is given to me, I don't let myself go in there.
ok edited to add: Now I NEED that bathing suit for Manda! OMG it's too freakin cute! |

HB....I her wardrobe! Especially the swimsuits. I haven't bought any clothes yet, except for a onesie for a Christmas gift for Tony that says "I love Daddy" but my mom has already gone crazy so I've got enough clothes for the first few months.
How are you decorating her room? I think we're going to do pink with green gingham accents. The room will be painted a creamy beige color with new white trim. But we have time to decorate since she'll sleep in our room in a bassinet for a month or 2. |
