When did all this happen?? I just realized that I had somehow been logged out of the community, so when I logged in and saw all the new boards and new posts, I was shocked!

Yeah, I discovered it about 2 weeks ago. Not sure when it all changed.

By the way, don't say "shit", people get testy about that. Or "fuck" or "cunt", either. And nobody's mentioned it, but they probably don't like "cocksucker", either. Laughing

Yeah, I logged in some time last week and I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I thought maybe everyone else jumped ship to somewhere else or something.

Good to see you guys! blob3 What's going on?

So what you're saying, Prescott, is that these people are not Deadwood fans? Because I noticed there isn't a forum for that show. Wink

Yeah, there's no Hell's Kitchen forum either and that's way cooler than Top Chef. No one gets called a donkey on Top Chef.

You're PATHETIC!

I'm looking forward to catching the next season of Kitchen Nightmares, that seems like a far more interesting premise than Hell's Kitchen.

Ooooh, I do love Kitchen Nightmares. It kind of makes me want to not eat out though. Icky! Ramsay's more kind and touchy feely on KN (you know, after he's totally put them down and ruined their self esteem), which is okay, but much like my home decorating shows, I likes me some drama.

Curse words drew me back..I could hear them hovering over the site.

Waving hi at everyone.

Quick update on us.

DH lost his job in August...he started a new job this week as a commercial real estate agent...total career switch. Wish him luck, otherwise he can use his new found skills to find his own rental/house. Wink

Anna is 9 and driving me to drink. She claims "You are ruining my childhood."

Baby Maeve is a total sweetheart. I really do deserve this baby. She is perfect - really she is. She turned 1 in March and I have no complaints.

Me..I've ramped up my photography business and though its still part time, its paying for itself, and making me a little bit of side money. Not much, as I had to do an entire overhaul on computers and equipment at the beginning of this year...but hey, ya gotta spend money to make money.

What else?

I've gotta lose some weight, but too lazy to do it. My house is a total pit.
and the dog is driving me insane.

Perhaps having crashed and burned myself in the restaurant biz, the schadenfreude will be enough for me.

Holy shit, well then let me fucking swear up a goddamn storm here to hopefully bring some more oldies back!

So nice to see you, glad to hear about the baby. Holden is 9 as well, and has also entered the "You're so mean and unfair" phase. Isn't it great? To get by I just keep telling myself he's halfway there to being able to legally move out. Laughing

And good luck to your husband, from what I hear the commercial real estate market is totally isolated and separate from all the doom and gloom being talked about in the housing market so hopefully he'll do well.

Don't be a stranger!

Good to see you Eileen! Glad you got a dream baby! We all deserve at least one, right?

Funny, my ten year old is mostly great other than the beginning-of-adolescence waves of moodiness. But my six year old is the one who is so not into our family's ethos. All he wants is cable, a Wii, and designer clothes/shoes/toys. Meanwhile Calvin is asking me for books and gobbling up Bradbury!
