Thought maybe it would be helpful if we had *one* place where we could ask *computer/website* questions.

Question: Does everyone log out of here when they go back to our blog? Are there any pros or cons, or is it just a personal preference kinda thing?

Question: I don't know how to put a personal pic up but I do know how to do an avatar cuz I have one in my documents folder...it's a butterfly on a flower. Is that ok?

It doesn't matter. Either way. There is no safety concern if you don't log out, other than someone in your house or office going on your computer and pretending to be you. Laughing

You may use your own avatar images. Simply go to your Profile, and it should be pretty explanatory. You may either upload an image to our server or link to a remote image.

To use an image, simply use the same image tags that you would use in a post. For example:

The signature image needs to be hosted somewhere, we are unable to allow uploading of signature images due to server size limitations (i.e., via www.flickr.com or www.photobucket.com).

Please keep images to 120 pixels x 120 pixels. The photos will not work if they are larger than that.

Okay...I feel stupid joker ....how do you type in color...I keep hitting the font colour & it shows what I have selected in [ ]....but then it's just same ole` boring black sleepy4 ...I wanna be PURPLE! laughing8

You should be able to highlight the text you want and then choose your font color and it should work, or you can enclose the text with the following code:

Not sure if everyone is aware of this or not, but when you click into a this J&K forum, as with any forum in this community, it flags the threads that you haven't read yet. If you look on the left hand column, the ones that you haven't personally read yet are orange. It's the little circle icon with a piece of paper in the middle. If that is orange, there is a recent posting that you have yet to read:

Also, if you scan the general forum, kinda like a birds eye view:

All forums that have been posted on since you've registered but have yet to be read by you will have a little "New" icon next to it to denote that you haven't read it yet.
