WTF? How pissed am I right now?
I went to my online banking today and found I was charged a dollar TWICE because of "Excessive Activity".

I called to have them remove the charges because I've been a loyal customer for years, and the snooty chick on the phone said she can't because "it's a federal law".

Apparently if you withdraw money from your savings more than 3 times in a 'statement cycle' you get charged a dollar for every one past the limit of 3.

Now I know it's only 2 dollars, but it's MY 2 dollars (yes, yes, I'm flashing back to Better Off Dead, also. "twoooooo dooooollars!!!!!!!!!!!")

I'm being charged to use my own money!!!!!
Now I can't touch my savings until mid-March to avoid another dollar fee! Fuck!

She said the law is in place "to prevent money laundering". WTF? Wouldn't their access to my spending habits and my impeccable credit rating show them that I'm not some kind of drug-dealing hobo? And I guess the law has been around for years, even though I've never had this shit happen before.

"Well if you call any other bank, they'll tell you the same thing."
