Have you been watching the new season of Nip/Tuck? It's kind of interesting.
A little bit of WTF's lately though. If the show wanted Julia back, that's fine. Can they at least write her renting an apartment/condo? After all, she and Olivia are STILL staying at the fancy hotel. And my biggest complaint is that they rarely show any of the parents dealing with kid issues. We never see the baby with the lobster hand with Sean, EVER.
But the episode with Rosie O'Donnell going off on a lesbian hate rant had me laughing hysterically!!!!! Laughing

Anyway, what do you think?

I'm sorry, I have totally lost interest in Nip/Tuck this season. We still have all of them tivo'd, but I think I'm done with it. I watched the first episode and it wasn't enough to hook me and I didn't want to waste my time.

Is it worth watching?

I know in the past the show has had a lot of story lines that were hard to buy, but this year has a LOT of them.

Julia's a lesbian now. She and her kids and girlfriend are living at some famous hotel in Beverly Hills.

Sean does his plastic surgury and has a role on a plastic surgury drama.

Matt and Kimber came to LA to beg for money because they were both hooked on serious drugs. She left him to go back into porn for the money and took the baby with her. This week's episode has her hooked up with Julia's girlfriend's sexy 18 year old daughter, who's been seducing everybody on the show this year.

Matt caught on fire cooking Meth in his apartment and has befriended a burn victim in the hospital.

Julia and Christian are having an affair after all these years. They told Sean who freaked out, so he brought slutty Gina all the way from Miami to work in the office to distract Christian and hopefully break him and Julia up. That was, until she and Christian were on a rooftop last week, she threatened to break him and Julia up, so he screwed her on a ledge and she fell off, and died.

Rosie O'Donnell came back for a few episodes and was wildly entertaining as usual. She was run over at a gay pride parade and went off on a hate rant about "the dyke that ruined my face". The shit she was saying about lesbians was incredible seeing that we know Rosie is one in real life.

So there you have it. It seems like the show is the same, but with a different locale. No character was left behind in Miami. Even Liz and the older blonde lady still work for Sean and Christian. And with Gina coming back, well the gang's all here.

But if you haven't watched since the first episode, I don't think this season is worth catching up on that many episodes. If you're curious, I guess you could go to the FX website and get a brief synopsis of each one. Nothing compares to the very first season. But I guess I keep watching because I've put so much time into the series. In all honesty, it just doesn't have that same spark it had years ago. Confused

I'm slowly catching up (so I did not read any of the above) -- I think I'm finally into December, lol. Just got to the episode where Matt was going to do gay porn for meth money.

I'll probably keep watching, given that I usually watch t.v. late at night before bed and not really looking for deep drama, but my god is Eden annoying the fuck out of me. I like the story line and the tension it creates, but man is that chick overacting. She makes David Caruso look like John Cusack. She also has a weird look that I just can't get past. Yeah, I'm being shallow, but hello it's Nip/Tuck.

And please tell me there's no more Rosie. I like her fine when she's buying ads on our site, lol, but her character just takes me right out of the show.

Ahhhh! Sorry Prescott! Embarassed
I should have said "SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!" Hope I didn't ruin any of it for you.

Yeah, I don't like Eden for the same reasons. Did you get to the episode where she bakes the fruitcake? Yeah, I don't imagine her to be the type to make a bad-ass cake like that. Now I'm the shallow one. Wink
Actually, I assumed she's every man's dream girl, so I'm glad to get a man's perspective on her. Who knew?

Rosie's only around for a few episodes. But like I said, her lesbian hate-rant was jaw-droppingly funny! Shocked Laughing

No worries, when I saw the title of the thread I didn't even skim the previous posts.

I'm just not a big fan of the plastic look -- the spray tan, the blinding white veneers on her teeth, the super sculpted eye brows, eh, no thanks. She does look a lot better on her IMDB page so either she's had some work done or it's how they have her made up for the show.

But I do think Kimber is smoking hot so I guess I'm just talking out of my ass, lol.

I see what you mean. The episode when Sean reapired her hymen, and was doing the folllow-up check, she almost looked Exorcist-ish sitting in the bed looking at him. Creepy. scratch

OK, I finally did a marathon over a couple days and got caught up.

Wow, all I can say about this season is that it wasn't as bad as the "Carver" one, which ain't saying much. Everything was just so insanely unbelievable, I couldn't stand it. Eden being incredibly narcissistic, etc., yeah, but then going into porn and a homicidal psychopath? Coupled with Sean's agent's stalker/killer tendencies? Can we have just one psycho per season, please? Laughing Then all of Matt's issues, etc...

They've put me back into the same place of indifference as to whether or not the show comes back that I felt after that ridiculous half-assed "Carver" resolution... and wow, what a cliffhanger, as if they would let Sean die. The lazy writing of this year makes me think they are not quite going to challenge themselves with continuing a show without one half of McNamara/Troy...

It all just made me think, "Bring on The Shield!"

They must think we're half-stupid tard if we're to believe that Sean will die. Helloooo!? Remember that boring 'future' episode they showed last season where Connor is now 18 and wants Matt (now a surgeon) to alter his other claw-hand. They're all still alive, and Christian was getting just as much tail in his 60's.
OK, maybe I'm the only one who watched last year.
But Julia's post-injury amnesia??? How very 1970's "As The World Turns All My Bold and Beautiful Children of Peyton Place", huh? Rolling Eyes
