I only skimmed the thread... but I suspected there were issues with Owen's development long, long ago. Before he was even a year old I knew there was something "off". It took until he was well over 3 years old before I could get a professional to take my concerns seriously and have him placed in the appropriate program to have his needs met. It kills me to think of all that lost time when therapy could have made such a big impact and made such a difference for him.
The behaviors you describe are enough for me to want you to get her more evaluation. I think you are doing the right thing. And if she does have any of the problems they are concerned about earlier the intervention the better. Good luck and keep us posted. In the meantime the more language rich the environment you provide for her the better. ( by the way that is what is best for ALL kids!)
