| Sooooo? Does anyone have any summertime TV shows they're watching? I'll start. DH is loving Hell's Kitchen already (along with Deadliest Catch which is still showing new episodes). And we're watching Pirate Master and The Next Best Thing (impersonators) together. And when he goes to sleep, I watch TiVo-ed episodes of So You Think You Can Dance. Having fun with these few. What are you watching? What are you LOOOOVING? |

My Tivo records John and Kate + 8 and General Hospital (which isn't really a summer show ), and I'm going to check out the latest edition of Top Chef. I love most anything on Bravo.
I love watching John and Kate. It makes my life seem sane. |

I only saw that show for the first time the other evening and just caught the fireman, who invented the "gaurdian angel". It was a device that acted as the topper for your X-mas tree and turned into a sprinkler in case your tree caught on fire.
It was really moving when he told that story about the father, holding his dead little girl in his arms and how he'll never forget the anguish on the mother's face (he was moved to tears in telling the story).
That was pretty amazing. He seemed like a really good guy. |

We just finished up watching The Shield and I'm thrilled it's coming back for another season. It's one of my all-time favorite shows ever.
The Sopranos ends tonight and we will be there or be square!
Can't wait until Rescue Me comes back next week. That's definitely on our summer watching list.
I've been really into HGTV lately, so I have a feeling I'm going to be watching lots of design shows this summer.
I also like those Discovery shows like Little People, Big World and the new one about the gastric bypass surgery. I just saw an ad for this and asked Scott to tape it this summer (it's totally down my alley).
Besides those, I usually watch for the People magazine, summer series preview and make my boob tube, summer list at that time. Television relaxes me. I only watch it after the kids go to bed and I ain't givin' it up any time soon!

THE SOPRANOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the season finale tonight! Jessica, I think that Sil and Paulie are in on the hits. I think Sil has been talking to the NY family and is not really dying?
Is Tony going to die tonight? |

I don't care about anything but Rescue Me. I am so excited it's coming back on.
I have been watching Pirate Master, but only because it's so deliciously bad.
I've got a some episodes (maybe 2?) of Hell's Kitchen TiVo'd but I've yet to watch them. Oh, and the Starter Wife, but really, all I can think is "boo hoo, your husband left you and you only get half of a small fortune." Still, I like Debra Messing. |

There is seriously a show called Pirate Master? Is it a reality want-to-be-a-pirate show? How did I miss this?
I think I'll probably watch Top Chef, even though I thought season two sucked. I wanted to like Rescue Me, but I never saw enough of it before to really get into it (same w/ that The Riches show that's on now-- just not into it, even though I want to be).
The only thing that I'm actually excited about on TV right now-- I recently discovered that my local PBS station runs old episodes of The Joy of Painting on weekend afternoons. I love me some Bob Ross. |

Don't be . You should be . I looove Bob Ross! His voice is so comforting, and he makes painting look so easy. When I was little, my mom used to record his episodes, then play them back and copy his work.
Pirate Master is pretty fun. It's on Thursdays at 8pm on CBS. It will only be episode 3 this week, so if you want to get into it, you're not that far behind.
3boysmama and Jessica: Yes! Thanks for reminding me. I loooooove American Inventor, although I like last season, better. I picked the car seat winner from the audition day!!!! I hope this season gets better, though, because DH agreed to watch it with me and he's not impresssed. But I got him good, I looked over to him when he was complaining and told him in a creepy/soothing voice "Everything is going to be OK". (Like that stupid blue doll) He threw a pillow at me after that.
I did like the Guardian Angel tree topper last week. Heck, if it works, I'd buy one!!!
Oh, and P.S. for anyone but me who cares, Nip/Tuck is coming back!!!!! I read an article way back in January that Rosie will periodically coming back as that lottery winner. I don't know why I didn't share this little bit of info sooner! The last few seasons, you didn't really know it the show was being renewed until very late, but this I found out months ago. I thought for sure it was over once they moved the practice to L.A. |

| I couldn't believe that they let the therapy blue creepy doll thru AGAIN!! that thing is horrible. I am rooting for the fireman and his guardian angel fire ext. for the Christmas tree. Such a good idea and so needed. |
