| Hey, does anyone know if there is a store brand equivalent to Nestle Good Start? Jessica, I know you are like 4 years past formula but I remember you had a lot of info on the different brands. I am looking for a store brand formula with 100% whey protien. I can't find the info I need on Wyeth's website. |

Not 100% sure, but doesn't Walmart have a Carnation generic:

I know Target's formula is pretty much identical to Enfamil, but actually the store brands are better. Wyeth makes a better formula, IMO.
Here is the website for the distributor of all store-brand formulas acrosst the country (Target, Walmart's Parent Choice etc.). If you click on "See for yourself" on the left hand side of the site, you can click on any store-brand formula and see the nutritional differences between it and the commercial (Emfamil, Good Start, Similac) brands.

There's also a number listed, if you want to call and find out if they make a Good Start equivalent and where you can find it.

Good luck! |

| Thanks!! I called and they don't make a 100% whey protien formula, all theirs are 60/40. Boo! Nestle won't send me any more coupons for some reason so I am getting screwed on the price. I wonder if she would do ok on that Walmart brand that is similar to Enfamil Gentlease.. she has "silent reflux" which we just discovered. I love zantac! It turned her from a screaming fussbucket into a normal baby. Didn't G have reflux too? |

Well, what you could do is mix half CGS with one of the PC's or Target brands. I did this with both my kids and Graham had really bad reflux. Really bad. It worked for us and helped to cut the cost down, plus it does get their bodies used to regular milk protein (not a bad thing to do).
You could do a few months of 1/4 Enfamil (or store brand) with 3/4 CGS and then a month of half and half etc. If I were a nutrionist, this is what I'd recommend to formula feeders who's babies have reflux or tolerance issues.
JMHO. HTH! |

| If the GS is working for her, I'd be afraid to mess with a good thing. Can you get your father or sister to register online for the GS coupons? I tried to do that for you, but apparently, they don't want to help out people that have two kids in less than two years' time (which is why you're not getting the coupons either). |

Aha! That's why I didn't get coupons from any of the formula co's I registered with in my last pregnancy! My girls are 18 months apart. Those cheap S.O.B.'s!!!!!!!
With my son and first daughter I was rolling in the formula coupons! Like on the cartoons when the evil guy is in a bathtub of money $$$$$$$$$$$$) |
