Becky, I looooove pink and green together!
The room is already painted celedon and all the trim is white. There are flowers painted in little bunches randomly:
We are going with an antique white crib:
and this bedding:
the crib version though, obviously
Well, that's what I have planned this week anyway. Subject to change without notice. |

No! Don't feel that way! I don't want anyone to feel bad.
You know, when I was pregnant with Owen I bought NOTHING. Nothing! Okay, I take that back, we bought one small stuffed bunny (buying a special stuffed animal with each pregnancy is a silly little tradition we do), one romper for his going home outfit and a new pack of binkies. That was IT.
He used Ethan's crib with Ethan's old bedding. Wore all of Ethan's clothes, other than a few things I got as gifts.
When he was about a year old and we moved him to his own room -- we simply put the crib in our office/storage room. It was a complete mess, totally not cute at all. Not that I didn't want to have special things for him, but we were sooooo broke, it just wasn't even remotely possible to do much of anything.
The stuff I'm doing for this baby isn't because baby's need all this crap -- Owen is just as sweet and loved as a child could be and he had nothing.
Doing all this superficial stuff for this baby is purely for my own amusement and fun. She'll be my last baby and I want to go out with a bang. |

Yeah, I'd like to do some shopping for my own amusement and fun! LOL However, having two boys within 14 months of one another led my husband to believe shopping was unnecessary... I didn't fight this battle, since I'm saving all my shopping energy for the day when I finally have a little girl to buy for. I don't blame you one bit....that stuff is adorable!
I did buy Connor a package of onesies and two pacis. Oh yeah, we also got a double stroller, but that's pretty much for both boys. I just can't seem to get enthused without buying baby stuff..... |

Kenna, doe that mean you are going for #4 after this?
I am thinking of having #5 just to spite my mom and mil (and others), since everyone making comments about how we don't need to have any more. |

Yeah, we're definitely not done. The next one will probably be a boy too though! LOL I also get the comments from my parents all the time about how I shouldn't have any more.
I have spent all day trying to figure out how to cram two cribs, a changing table, a dresser, and a glider into a 10 X 10 room, so number four's gonna have to wait for a while. We never did get everything to fit! |

| Kenna, maybe you could get rid of the changing table and just put a changing pad into the new baby's crib or use the floor? |

or if the dresser isn't too high, put a changing pad on that?
or design bunk cribs?
I feel for you because our bedrooms in this house are very small. I'm not even sure if Ethan's is 10x10, I think it's 10x8. Unless we do bunkbeds in his room, the only way two beds will fit is to put the mattresses on the floor and make an L with them in a corner. I'm not even sure if that would work though, and it would leave NO room for anything else, thanks to the closets that come OUT of the corners, rather than in the walls (if that makes any sense). |

I am open to a 4th, but I'm not sure I'm cut out for another pregnancy and a 4th c/s. We'll see what the doctor says after this one. But really, I feel like I'm a pretty lousy mother while I'm pregnant . I'd like to adopt a 4th, but dh is unsure of that route. Who knows. We definitely need a bigger house though. Or at least a house with a more doable floor plan and division of sq. footage than this one. |

OMG! Ya'll are scaring me with these big families My plan is stop at two. If God or fate has more than that in store for me I'll deal with it, but I'm only planning on 2. We live in a townhome so our master bedroom is a decent size, but the 2 other rooms are teeny tiny. We might be able to afford a bigger house someday, but I'm not counting on it.
Melissa, I just love the way her room is painted and the bedding. It's all gorgeous. I couldn't find a whole bedding set that I liked so I got some crib sheets and a dust ruffle from Carter's and a bumper from Koala Baby, but everything is soft pink with little roses and light green accents. I think (hope) it'll look nice together. |

It's not exactly a changing table. It's a dresser with a changing pad on top, so getting rid of it is definitely not an option. I already had to buy a plastic set of drawers for inside the closet, and I still don't have enough drawer space for both boys' clothes (even "borrowing" two of the drawers in Hunter's room). Keep the ideas coming though!
My husband abandoned the idea of two cribs, and he brought the toddler race car bed in the room. All of the furniture does fit now, but it is a TIGHT squeeze. We are going to have to get rid of the old, ugly glider and buy a nice rocking recliner for the living room, I guess. That's not gonna be cheap. It's in there now, but you can't move in the room. We are going to buy Ethan some toddler bedding tomorrow. Even factoring the six months that the baby will sleep in our room, I have STRONG reservations about moving Ethan to a toddler bed before the age of two (will be about 19 months when the move will be necessary). I'm gonna have to find some way to make this work. Bed and naptimes are gonna be hell in this house.
I hate this house! If y'all have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Obviously, we didn't plan on living here when we had a third child. Now I'm stressed..... |

| Hmmm... well, I keep both boys' clothes in Ethan's closet. It's not that big, maybe 4 feet long? with a shelf over the bar. I have two big Sterelite drawers (3 deep drawers each) and those are in each side, facing the middle. Those just hold socks, undies, jammies. Shirts are hung up and bottoms are folded on the shelf. Now you know I'm a clothes horse, but it all fits really well! This was done because the dresser was taking up what little space was available for some of Ethan's toys, but despite being done out of necessity, I like the system a lot. |

Kenna~
Is the closet big enough to hold one of the dressers inside? Little kids' clothes don't hang down very far so you would still have space to have the clothes hanging from the bar and that would free up some floor space. And then your other dresser could be out to act as a changing area too.
I feel your pain. The rooms in our townhome are sooo tiny. |

I'll have to revisit the dresser/closet thing next weekend. Y'all gave me some ideas. |
