I've been having a pretty intense feeling of cervical pressure since yesterday. That combined with the contractions I've been having off and on for the last few weeks had me pretty scared. My doc met me in L&D triage where they hooked me up to a monitor and checked my cervix. I am 1 cm dialated and 40% effaced, but my doctor said that is pretty common in a second pregnancy. She said the baby is already head down and that's probably causing the pressure. I had a few more little contractions while I was hooked up, but nothing serious. I'm supposed to take it easy for the rest of my pregnancy and try to pick up Michael as little as possible
Anyway, I'm glad my little girl is going to hang out with me for a while longer...I'm not quite 30 weeks yet! And I'm so not ready for this baby at all.
How is everyone else doing? |

I'm at 30 or 31 weeks now (was 30 weeks last week).
I am having contractions too - nothing major...and lots of pressure when baby is in heads down. She is moving around A LOT.
Can't sleep, heartburn from these stupid iron pills I have to take, and just feeling tired most of the time. |

You ladies need to take it EASY! I'm serious. Get lots of rest. Your girls need to be patient, whisper to them it's a virtue. |

oh no Becky! Take it easy. Do you have anyone who can help with Michael so you can rest more? Hang in there. That baby needs to bake a might bit longer still!
Nothing noteworthy going on here. |

| My mom (who lives about 2 hours away but isn't working right now) says she's going to come every week on Thursday and stay over until Friday to help me out. I also just have to get Michael to do more on his own. This will probably be good for me and Michael 'cause I can't just hold him all the time. And I've just started to be smarter about some things. Like I change his diaper on the floor now. Why haul him up and down to the changing table every time? He usually acts better on the table but if I distract him with a book or my keys or sunglasses he will most likely stay still. |

We've been on-the-floor diaper changers since the kids were a couple months old. It's the biggest most convienent changing station in the world!
I hope you continue to do well. That's great that your mom is coming to help out. |
