Cade sounds just like Kate!
I think we're back onto Carter now. |

DCH, what happened to Spencer. I love that name. I was supposed to live vicariously through you with that name.
I like Kaleb too, but that kinda sounds like a bit to Amish. |

well, you know Annie, if you had just named your second dd Lucy instead of Kate,it would have made it much easier for me to name your second son.
I love Carter. I really do. My bestest friend named her second little boy Carter and I think it is precious. I also love Spencer! Great name! I also really like Henry (that sounds so cute with Jack too!) and my favoritest name, Elliott. |

Jessica-did I like Spencer before? I don't even remember that phase! Must have been short-lived.
I can't get all the way on board with Lucy yet. It has a teeny element of "too unusual" for me, you know? Or maybe it's just me? Is it a wierd name?
HB- have you bought anything girlie yet for your baby? |

Lucy is actually kind of popular right now. We have a neighbor who is my age named Lucy and I love her. She's adorable and really down to earth, so I have a good association with that name.
What about Hollis for a boy? I like that name. My current favorite boy's name is Nico, but I know you wouldn't use that. |

Oh, shit. No. I think I was thinking of Melissa. Melissa liked Spencer and Simon, the two names I was condsidering when naming Graham.
You liked Carter. That was another one of my names many moons ago. You have always liked that name though. It always reminded me of ER. |

I love Lucy! I think it's a really great name and I think it would fit in well with the names of your other kids--it seems in the same vein as a Molly or Jack (or Kate, even).
I like Elliot, too. And Carter.
Glad everything is where it should be. I am always so relieved when that 20 week period has passed and everything appears all right. Smooth sailing from here, right? |

You're kidding, right? Me, the mother overly obsessed with kids clothes?
Yeah, her dresser is already stuffed to capacity. |

Not weird exactly, but I can only think of one thing when I hear the name Lucy: A. Afarensis. I'm a big dork, though, so I don't know what normal people think of the name. |

No, that's NOT what I think of when I hear Lucy. I used to just think of Lucille Ball, because she was THE Lucy forever. But, there have been a lot more Lucys in the past decade, so I think the name is becoming more popular. I think of it as one of those old school names that aren't uncommon, but you don't see too much of, like Rita, or Alice. |

I would never think Lucy was an odd name! It's funny to me that someone would think such a classic name is "out there"! I really think Lucy and Molly are right in the same category.
If we were still in CA we'd probably be naming this baby Hailey. Unfortunately, it's just way way too popular here to consider it. |

| Hailey is really popular here too! I looked it up on the social security website and it was #26 in 2005. |

HB, you put me to shame I have done nothing to get ready for this baby except allow my mother to buy me a bassinet. At least she'll (the baby, not my mom) have a place to sleep for a few months.
DCH...I'm loving the name Lucy! But I think you're going to have a boy so I like Carter a lot. Elliot is nice too. |
