Hi Jessica, I tried twice to post on the Halloween Contest blog and it wouldn't go through.
My worst Halloween costume moment was when I was 14 and working weekends at an apple orchard. Every year the owners would have a Halloween Festival and my job was to wear whatever costume they rented and wave to all of the customers in the fields picking apples. Well as humiliating as the Barney the Dinosaur, Cookie Monster, and Blue Ninja Turtle costumes I had to wear in the previous years were, none could compare to the year they rented the Red Power Ranger costume. (For those of you with boys, you know that the Red Ranger is A DUDE!) My boss helped me into the costume then asked if I would "visit" her 7 year old and his friends (they lived in a house on the orchard property). So we went over there, she peeked her head in the door and said, "I have a special visitor for you". So I walk in and the boys all go nuts, "Oh my God. It's the Red Ranger!" Then they all of a sudden pause and look at each other, then at me, and shout "Wait a minute! The Red Ranger don't got BOOBS!" Can you say EMBARRASSING?
But it doesn't end there. For the rest of the day, any time I would wave to a family of customers, the moms would tell their kids, "Look. There's Kimberly." (Kimberly is the pink GIRL Power Ranger). Apparently they were thrown off by the whole BOOBS thing, too......
