OK. So for our mini-family vacation to PA we had a cd selection in our car consisting of:

Minnesota Public Radio Baby Genius Songs
Allison Krauss & Union Station Live
Peter Paul & Mommy Too
Bruce Springsteen: The Seeger Sessions

You would think that the kids would want to listen to the Baby Genius or the PPM records, but NOOOOOOO!

The twins wanted to listen to Bruce Springsteen, and not just any Bruce song, only one friggin' track...Old Dan Tucker, to be exact. The song is officially ad nauseaum to me, now.

Piddies in the back seat, will sign "more" and "please" like a lunatic and scream BRUUUUUCE!!!!!

G-d help us if we play any of the Soprano soundtracks. 'Born Under A Bad Sign' could be next.

That's hilarious! I am not a Springsteen fan,m so that would be my worst nightmare.
Cooper's favorite song is Roxanne by The Police. I have no idea why, but he loves it. He's always telling me to play the Roxanne song. It warms my heart to know that my 4 year old's favorite song is about a prostitute. His second favorite song you wonder? Funky Cold Medina by Ton Loc. Rolling Eyes

S and A's favorite CD is, currently: ABBA Gold. They found it on our CD rack and insist on listening to it every day. My four year old son knows all of the words to Take a Chance on Me and Dancing Queen. I think dh might be a little happier if it was Springsteen or The Police. queen

At least ABBA is cool and your kids have great taste. Growing up in the NYC-area there was a local Sunday morning kids show called 'Wonderama' and ABBA was a regular guest.

I don't have any ABBA albums, but maybe I can get a copy out of the library and give it a trial run...it'll drive my DH nvts! Twisted Evil
