After nearly two years, the kids are having their very last day at childcare.
I bawled like a baby when I dropped them off. DH was a bit on the teary side when he dropped off the 'thank you' pizzas around lunch today. He was all choked up seeing his little ones and about a dozen other toddlers all in their cots snoozing away.
I really hope that I am not doing a diservice (sp) to my kids in eventually quitting my job. They were genuinely happy there and we loved the staff very much.
As I might have mentioned before, I am a second generation corporate-working-mom, so the mere concept of a SAHM is completely alien to me. |

Is your dh going to watch the kids until you are not working anymore?
I dont think that making positive changes in your own life is ever a disservice to your kids! If you hate working or hate your job, the best thing you can do is change your situation so that you feel good about what you are doing during the day. |

I think you will need to stay productive in one capacity or another doing things that you believe are valuable. Then I thinkyou will be fine. I kept my job but toned it down a lot and reorganized what types of activities I would focus on. I loved that I was home with my kids when they were babies and toddlers, but I also liked that I had other work stuff to do so that I did not lose my identity and only became the mommy.Being hte type A personality that I am It was not the best for me to become a SAHM. Also I was the main income so I did not really have a choice. but if I was able to choose I would have opted for parttime or WAHM like I ended up doing to keep a balance. My favorite and best job is being a mommy, but being productive in other ways is also good for me. I think you will be much happier away from your job. There are always other jobs out there if you want to go back once the twins are older. There are also WAHM opportunities.
Good luck!
